Markham Fertility is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant

PHARMACY ASSISTANT

The Pharmacy Assistant works in collaboration with nursing, administration and physicians to offer exceptional support in the dispensing of medications to our patients through the clinic's on site dispensary. The Pharmacy Assistant is knowledgeable about dispensing practices and quality control procedures, and works in collaboration with other pharmacy assistants to ensure the effective the day-to-day functioning of the dispensary.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for day-to-day functions of the medication dispensary.
  • Knowledgeable and attentive customer service in the dispensing of fertility medications
  • Ordering and inventory control
  • Invoicing and payment processing
  • Working closely with community pharmacy partners and medication companies
  • Assuring that best practices in medication packaging and dispensing are followed
  • Collecting and processing payments for non dispensary related invoices.
  • Participating in clinic wide safety training and quality improvement.
Qualifications
  • Pharmacy Technician Diploma or Pharmacy Assistant Diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Assistant.
  • Experience in a clinical health care setting is considered an asset.
