Dr. Chloe Roumain attended Union College in upstate New York where she graduated with a BSc in biology and psychology, followed by a doctorate of Medicine at McGill University in Montreal. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Université de Montréal, where she additionally specialized in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, specifically at Hôpital Saint-Luc du CHUM in Montreal, Quebec.
Dr. Roumain will be returning from maternity leave and starting her practice in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in December 2016 at Markham Fertility Centre.
Through the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist of Canada’s International Women’s Health Program, Dr. Roumain travels to Haiti regularly with her husband, also an obstetrician gynaecologist, to educate and train health professionals and medical students on the international standards of maternal and perinatal health. She is fluent in English, French and Creole, and functional in Spanish.
She is currently a member of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC), the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS), the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the Quebec Medical Association, the Ontario Medical Association, the Canadian Medical Association and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
