Ultrasound Guided Embryo Transfer
About Ultrasound Guided Embryo Transfer
Embryo transfers can be an emotional and magical experience. You have worked hard to get to this point and now you have an embryo that will be transferred into your uterus in hopes of a successful pregnancy. At Markham Fertility Centre, our patients have the opportunity to watch the embryo being placed into their uterus on a screen.
Ultrasound plays an important part in the embryo transfer as it enables the doctor to place the embryo at a precise point in the uterine lining. The procedure is performed in our procedure room adjacent to the embryology lab where the embryo is being prepared for transfer. The procedure itself only takes a few minutes and is not uncomfortable.
